Hi I’m Lijah,
I am the mom of three grown girls who grew up in front of my Nikon Camera. Before I became a mom, I was formally trained as a black and white film photographer at The International Center for Photography in NYC in the 80s. When I became a parent I also changed my career and have been a doula attending births and helping families with their newborns in the 1st months of parenthood. I continued being a photographer on the side. My style was always creative and I love to document life.
If you are looking for a traditional “everyone smile and look at the camera” photographer- I am not the one for you. I like a mix of authentic and staged poses and prefer using mostly natural light. I prefer to document my clients being themselves. I like to think of my work being real, raw, and intimate. I want to convey genuine connections through my work to capture your moments in images that will take you back to those memories.
